HEALTHCARE & SENIOR AFFAIRS WORKING GROUP

At the last Healthcare & Social Security Working Group Meeting the following actions items were discussed:

1. Report from the minutes of the March Meeting
2. Medicaid Reform Research
3. Proposal for Medicaid Position paper
4. Coalition for Progress Radio Program and Medicaid Reform Show
5. Social Security Research
6. Proposal for Social Security Position Paper
7. Radio Program and Social Security Reform Show
8. New Business

The members of the Healthcare & Senior Affairs Working groups have held multiple meetings on issues related to the Medicaid Program in New York and the Social Security Privatization debate. The Group will soon be issuing a report on NY's Medicaid Program, and would like to hear from others on this important topic.

Renata Kowalczuk is chairing the sub-committee on Healthcare, and Ayesha Nariman, a noted expert on Social Security, is chairing that sub-committee.
